Bespoke illuminated reception desk under construction

Professional fit-out · Method

Bespoke work begins long before installation.

Furniture can be made to a room’s dimensions without truly belonging to the room.

Integration is prepared by connecting use, dimensions, existing surfaces and technical services. The earlier this coordination happens, the less the build relies on visible corrections during installation.

01

Start with use

Before dimensions come the actions: welcoming, storing, working, supplying equipment and maintaining circulation. These define useful volumes and necessary access.

They prevent a striking feature from becoming awkward in everyday use.

02

Measure the real place

Existing walls, floors and ceilings are never assumed perfectly straight. Surveys, levels and allowances define tolerances and junctions.

Scribes and returns can then absorb small variation without appearing improvised.

03

Coordinate material, light and services

Integrated lighting, sockets, cable routes and equipment are planned with the furniture. The structure keeps useful access without exposing technical elements.

Installation becomes the outcome of joined-up preparation rather than the moment every constraint is discovered.
